I've been attempting to persuade my parents to bless me with an intercaste marriage for the past three years. Since then, my traditional-thinking parents have been quite obstinate, & my father has even threatened my partner. From that moment, I have put my foot down & stood firm in order for this union to take place smoothly. My father is still opposed to the marriage, but his rage has diminished only because my partner & I have remained cool in the face of adversity.
