I am born to a single mother who was brave and faced it all by herself, she is my inspiration and role model. I faced many issues while growing up but I was raised with love by my mother. After she passed away, I had to live with a relative who abused me verbally, emotionally, and physically. I took my power back but the after-effects of that abuse lingered depression, anxiety, & low self-esteem. This affected me to trust people & I had a series of failed relationships. I found solace in isolation & there were months I did not communicate. But deep down in me, there was a fire. I found my way out through determination & self-love.
